Point Dume Malibu Elopement

Jen and Chelsea are so adorable, hilarious, and in love! They started dating in college, moved out to California together, and got married around their 7th anniversary of being a couple. A lot about the timeline of their love story had parallels with mine and my husband’s, and that made it even more meaningful and sweet to be a part of their intimate wedding in Malibu. Once they were engaged and planning their wedding, Jen and Chelsea “really wanted the day to be completely about us with minimal stress and zero outside influences” and I think they pulled it off perfectly. They had a small backyard ceremony with family members, the most amusing confetti toss I’ve photographed, a mini-reception with cupcakes and champagne and lovely speeches, and then we went to Point Dume to take some portraits on the cliffs and near the ocean. Earlier in the week, the forecast had predicted thunderstorms, but we ended up without any rain, just a lot of beautiful clouds and a gorgeous sunset perfect for capturing the two of them in such a stunning setting. And I loved that they kicked their shoes off and weren’t afraid to get their feet wet and their dresses a little dirty to really take in the full beach elopement experience!

Congrats, Jen and Chelsea! See the rest of the photos or order prints here!
