A few months ago, I attended Feminist Photo Vaycay – a new retreat put together by Carly Romeo for feminist photographers and wedding vendors to hang out, relax, and collaborate in Palm Springs. Three days in the desert meeting a bunch of awesome people, taking a bunch of photos, and drinking a bunch of wine in the pool of a swanky house was the perfect summer getaway. And this Palm Springs elopement inspiration shoot was perfect too – adorable real life couple Kyle and Oliver looked so chic and stylish in spite of temperatures over 100 degrees. We started at the Moorten Botanical Garden, a unique outdoor venue with lots of hidden nooks and cactus gardens ideal for an elopement ceremony. Then we walked down the street past the Hotel California to the ACE Hotel & Swim Club, the embodiment of So Cal desert cool for intimate weddings and a dream honeymoon hideout.
