This romantic, modern elopement inspiration shoot was recently featured on the Catalyst Wedding Co. blog and I’m so happy to finally be sharing more photos from it! My vision for this shoot was to capture the natural beauty of the desert in Joshua Tree alongside the natural beauty of these two gorgeous brides as outdoor elopement inspiration. I love photographing intimate weddings in nature, and we planned this shoot to focus on the essentials of an elopement — two people in love in a place that makes them happy — and letting go of many non-essentials. Modern geometric details in copper colors accented the organic florals and succulents of the natural environment. Real-life couple Bridget and Kristi, who I met through roller derby, were adorable and excitedly talking about their actual elopement in Hawaii three weeks after this shoot!
