Beverly Hills Courthouse Elopement – Silviya + Jacob

Silviya and Jacob got engaged two weeks before their elopement at Beverly Hills Courthouse, and are planning a bigger wedding on their 1 year anniversary next year. I’ve been wanting to photograph more elopements, so I was thrilled when they contacted me, and even more delighted to meet their lovely parents.  Silviya’s mom came all the way from Bulgaria, and they included a Bulgarian wedding tradition of kicking a little bucket that has a red and white flower in it, and supposedly whichever flies out of the basket first determines if the couple’s first child will be a boy or a girl. The ceremony was short but very touching – the judge even got emotional at one point – and then we had lots of time for portraits nearby. Silviya and Jacob were so cute, sweet, and hilarious (you get a glimpse of Silviya’s big personality in the photos) and I’m so happy I got to celebrate the start of their marriage with them!

See the full gallery or order prints here. Congratulations, Silviya and Jacob!

Really cool wedding, I love the bride's portraits.

  • Wow she is super cute. I am always fearful of doing smaller weddings as I think there won't be enough going on for me to get enough shots, you've done really well, very brave!

Very sweet pictures. We're actually thinking of getting married there ourselves, not as an elopement but as the only ceremony.
