Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas, where I got to spend an amazing 4th of July weekend with Nikki and Johann. I’ve known Nikki for almost ten years had heard good things about Johann for a long time before I actually got to meet him myself. You take two cute, sweet, funny people and put them together and you get an awesomely cute, sweet, funny couple.
Nikki and Johann were staying at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay for the wedding weekend, which was a swanky place to get ready. And they were nice enough to let us use the Mix Lounge terrace and restaurant for the couple’s first look and portraits. This was my first time photographing a first look, and it was so much fun and gave us a lot of time to take portraits of just the bride and groom alone without rushing other parts of the day. After Mix Lounge, we headed down to the casino for some fun gambling pictures, to the waterfalls outside of the hotel, and then on to the iconic Las Vegas sign. It was cool to watch Nikki and Johann standing in line and mingling a little while we were waiting for our turn, and some sightseers wanted a photo with the couple too. Apparently wearing wedding attire in crowded tourist spots will get you lots of attention and smiles.
