After my roller derby shots, I was trying to finish up the roll of film and took a stroll on Venice Beach during my lunch break to do just that. It was a clear, bright, windy day. Looking up, I instantly loved this image of a single seagull coasting by a single palm tree. I will be the first to admit that not every picture I take turns out perfectly – a few are close, many are far from it, and some need a little extra help to get there. But this particular shot? This is pretty perfect to me.
